Uploading Pictures from Your Computer
For your pictures to appear in the Annual Conference photo stream, you must be a member of ASCD EDge.
1. Go to http://edge.ascd.org to log in to EDge. If you don't have an EDge account, you can create one by clicking the "Register" link in the login box.
2. Once you're signed in, join the "2011 Annual Conference" group.
- Click on "Groups" in the top navigation and then "Most Members" in the light green upper navigation bar.
- Look for "2011 Annual Conference" (it has an apple logo), and click on the link for that group.
- Click the "Join this Group" button under the apple logo.
3. Now you can add photos.
- Scroll down to the "Most Recent Group Photos" section of the group page, and click on "add a photo."
- Browse for the photo file you would like to upload, and click "Open."
- Add a title, and write a brief description of the photo contents.
- In the Tags field, enter "ac2011."
- Under the "Add Media to Groups" section, click the box next to "2011 Annual Conference."
- Click the "Add Photo" button, and your photo will appear in the Annual Conference photo stream.
Uploading Pictures from Your Mobile Phone
1. Click on "Edit Photo/Settings" in the My Categories box on the left side of the page.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Photo/Settings page and look for "Configure E-mail and Mobile Uploads." Select "Get started by choosing your upload e-mail."
3. Under the section "Your upload e-mail," create a custom upload address by adding a word (any combination of letters and numbers) to your user name in the field provided.
4. Attach a video or photo file to an e-mail, and then send it to your upload address.
5. To add your photo to the 2011 Annual Conference group:
- Sign in to EDge and go to your Photos page.
- Select a picture and click "Edit Photo."
- On the "Edit Photo" page, click the box next to "2011 Annual Conference" in the "Add Media to Groups" section.
- Click the "Save Edits" button and your photo will appear in the Annual Conference photo stream.
6. Remember:
- Anything you upload via e-mail is subject to the usual requirements related to file types, file sizes, and appropriate content.
- Address the e-mail only to your upload address (don't CC other recipients).
- Upload photos and videos as an attachment, and use the e-mail subject line to add a title and the e-mail body to add a description (plain text only).
- Be patient; e-mail uploads often need more time for processing, depending on your carrier. We cannot support Sprint or T-Mobile phones at this time.
- If there are problems with your e-mail upload, you will receive a message in your EDge inbox.
