  • Education Update won the Distinguished Achievement Award for Excellence in Educational Publishing in the Periodicals–Newsletter/E-Newsletter category.

 

2011 APEX Award for Publication Excellence

  • Education Update won a 2011 APEX Award for its "How-To" series writing.

 

Education Update is the official member newsletter of ASCD. The newsletter focuses on trends in K–12 education, instructional and leadership practices, and new research that informs learning and teaching. Education Update also covers association news and events.

Policy Priorities, ASCD's policy newsletter, has a new name and design. Policy Priorities, formerly Infobrief, reflects the purpose of this quarterly policy publication, which is to provide background and context for critical, timely education policy issues.

ASCD Express is a free e-mail delivered every two weeks that is filled with articles, tips, and an online video focusing on topics such as classroom management, differentiated instruction, formative assessment, and instructional leadership that are essential to successful education practice.

ASCD SmartBrief is a free daily e-mail news service that provides summaries and links to major education stories and issues, as well as education employment opportunities.


Calling for New Voices

Want your innovative ideas, perceptions, or insight about education to be heard in a forum recognized locally, nationally, and around the world? Write for ASCD Express's New Voices column!

ASCD Express features a 200–300-word opinion column in each issue from up-and-coming educators with diverse viewpoints. Check out our list of themes and submit your column idea or completed column by the listed due date for consideration to Rick Allen. Please include biographical information.
