To help educators make informed decisions about the software they use, the nonprofit CommonSense Media has compiled a database of ratings and reviews of ed-tech products and tools. The evaluations, conducted by a team of educators, are based on a "15-point rubric developed specifically to evaluate the learning potential of digital tools." The product listings can be sorted by subject, grade level, skills, and instructional purpose. In addition to a starred rating, each listing includes a description of the tool's potentials uses, a breakdown of pros and cons, and reviews submitted by educators.
