This year marks the 10th anniversary of ASCD's Whole Child approach to education, which identified five tenets—healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged—that are increasingly recognized as the crux of a well-rounded education both in the United States and around the world. As we reflect on the successes and challenges in the past decade, we must also look to the future. That's why ASCD is pleased to announce the relaunch of our Whole Child approach through our new campaign, Whole Child for the Whole World. We envision a world in which all young people grow up with education experiences that empower them to realize their full potential as active contributors to our collective well-being. We look forward to sharing more details with you at the relaunch, which will happen at Empower17 in Anaheim, California, on March 25–27, 2017.

Follow @ASCDcommunities and #ASCDtopics on Twitter!
ASCD Constituent Services has a new Twitter handle, @ASCDcommunities, to promote discussion of relevant education topics among ASCD affiliates, connected communities, Emerging Leaders, student chapters, professional interest communities, and education practitioners everywhere. Follow our new channel to take part in ASCD Topic Teams (#ASCDtopics) slow chats. We post a discussion prompt every morning and invite educators to respond and contribute their insights throughout the day. It's an open, time-independent way of facilitating meaningful discussion among interested educators. In December 2016, for example, ASCD Emerging Leader Natalie Franzi led a month-long discussion on Women in Leadership. We hope you will join us in an excellent exchange of ideas and experiences in future #ASCDtopics slow chats! Resources on Personalized Learning
