A New Global Leadership Opportunity

Are you an innovative and vision-driven teacher, administrator, or education thought leader striving to prepare all students to succeed in our diverse, interconnected world? Then mark your calendar and join us on March 23, 2018, for the Global Leadership Summit at ASCD's Empower18 in Boston.
Participants will address ways to move the needle on global competencies—such as empathy, valuing diverse perspectives, intercultural collaboration, critical thinking, and real-world problem solving, from ideas to implementable actions. You will benefit from an interactive, engaging program that includes a mixture of expert panelists, inspiring ignite-talks, and experienced workshop leaders, and you will leave with a concrete action plan to make your school or organization more globally oriented and focused on the skills students need now and in the future. To register, visit www.ascd.org/empower.

Welcoming ASCD's 2017 Emerging Leaders

ASCD is excited to announce the selection of 46 educators for its 2017 class of emerging leaders. The Emerging Leaders program recognizes and prepares young, promising educators to influence education programs, policy, and practice at both the local and national levels. The 2017 class includes superintendents, principals and assistant principals, teachers, and literacy coaches (among other roles and titles), hailing from 23 U.S. states, China, Colombia, Canada, Singapore, Taiwan, and Pakistan. All emerging leaders are enrolled in the program for two years and help shape education policy, advocate for the whole child, and explore multiple ASCD leadership pathways. Learn more about the 2017 class at www.ascd.org/emergingleaders.
