The New York City Community Schools Initiative, which was launched in 2014, has grown to 317 schools—making it the largest network of community schools in the country. A 2020 report conducted by the RAND Corporation evaluated the impact of 113 of these schools—which provide students with wraparound social services—over a three-year (pre-pandemic) period.
