Project Look Sharp is an outreach initiative through Ithaca College that helps K–12 educators teach literacy across the curriculum to empower students as media consumers and creators. The project offers free, downloadable resources organized by subject matter and grade, as well as single lessons and unit-based collections of materials designed for immediate use in the classroom. Founded in 1996, the educator-led project has grown to include 500-plus free lessons and activities on topics spanning sustainability and climate change, social justice and equity, media bias and credibility, and COVID-19 and online learning. The project's goal is to provide materials to "enhance students' critical thinking, metacognition, and civic engagement."
