      In 2016, 12th graders reported spending nearly 6 hours on digital media daily (going online, texting, and using social media). At the same time, their interest in books fell to an all-time low.
      16% of 12th grade students reported reading a book or magazine for pleasure daily in 2016, compared to 60% in 1976.
