ASCD Announces 2023 Cohort of the Emerging Leaders Program

    The ASCD Emerging Leaders program contains a diverse group of educators who have been in education for 5 to 15 years and who have made an impact as leaders in their schools, districts, and communities.

      ARLINGTON, VA—Today, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) announced that it would be welcoming a new cohort of eighteen exceptional educators into its 2023 class of Emerging Leaders.
      The ASCD Emerging Leaders program equips educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to take on leadership roles in the future. Specific skills taught through the program include building supportive relationships and shaping positive school culture, guiding deep change, digital leadership, marshaling diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and several more.
      "Supporting the next generation of educators is important for their personal success and the advancement of public education. This year's outstanding individuals further emphasize the importance of this program," said Dennis Muizers, Managing Director of Educator Leadership Development and Membership Services at ASCD. "As someone who has served as a campus and school district leader, it is an honor that we get to acknowledge and celebrate these exceptional young leaders in education."
      These individuals, all with five to fifteen years of experience, are recognized for their immense leadership, and for being impactful, role models within their schools, districts, and local communities.
      The 2023 ASCD Emerging Leaders are:
