Betty Jean Shoemaker recently retired after serving as a curriculum and staff development coordinator for Eugene Public School District 4J in Eugene, Oregon. She has taught in both regular and special education classrooms since 1965. As a curriculum coordinator, she worked districtwide to provide instructional leadership and to develop curriculum and assessment resources for staff. In addition, she provided professional development to administrators, teachers, and instructional assistants.
