Eileen Merritt is a research scientist in the Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation at Virginia Tech. She was a classroom teacher for 16 years before pursuing a doctorate in educational psychology. Her first nature journaling adventures were with her 4th grade students at Stone-Robinson Elementary.
