Nanci Smith has more than 22 years of education experience as a classroom teacher, university professor and researcher, author, and education consultant. As a consultant, she works with districts in designing and aligning curriculum to rigorous standards in an effort to equip teachers to implement research-informed, engaging strategies that promote conceptual understanding for their students. She places high priority on recognizing and addressing differing students' learning needs through classroom instruction, assessment of all types, and developing healthy relational classroom environments.
