Nardi Routten teaches 3rd grade at Creekside Elementary School in New Bern, North Carolina. She was the 2023 Craven County Teacher of the Year and the 2024 North Carolina Southeast Regional Teacher of the Year and won the 2022 Presidential Award in Mathematics. She is a member of the National Assessment Governing Board, which sets policies for the Nation’s Report Card.
