Theresa Pfister
About
Theresa Pfister is a third-year doctoral student at the University of Virginia’s School of Education and Human Development. She identifies as a white, cisgender female from a low-income, rural background. After attending college on a full scholarship, she became a teacher and college advisor for first-generation students. Through this experience, she developed a deep understanding and appreciation for social-emotional learning with the goal of disrupting inequities.
