Leading with Innocence: Leadership Strategies that Leverage the Power of Narratives
Participants will be introduced to an empathetic and relational leadership response to this moment. This moment, tangled in post-pandemic confusion and stress while still confronting the spark of a national racial reckoning, is an especially vexed time. Leading today requires you to build the skills that will help you understand the multiplicity of narratives in your school and how those narratives contribute positively to your school's culture or challenge it. In this workshop you will be introduced to strategies and practices that will help your community grow together by harnessing the narratives leading to your success. You will learn how each person's Innocence and individuality, their ability to exist outside of a negative narrative or stereotype, is essential to constructing the school culture you desire and that our educators, children, and families deserve. And you’ll leave with a plan to begin constructing that reality.
